Tree Planting Project at Dikhena Temple - Polgasowtia

Being a nature friendly Leo club we always focus on protection of environment. During the past Leoistic years we have launched many environmental friendly projects. Continuing our environmental activities we started the leoistic year with a tree planting program at the temple.

On 31st of July Leos and Lions gathered in to the Dikhena temple Polgasowita to held our tree planting campaign, Which was the first service project of the Leolistic year 2004-2005.

1st Leos cleaned the place where they selected to plant the trees. Then the head of Dikhena temple, Rev.Vineetha Thero came to the place and observed sill. He explained the value of the project and importance of planting. Also he donated Dharma books to the all Leos, Lions, Leo prospects, and Leo parents who were present @ that day as a appreciation of our project. Teak, Milla, and Benjamin planets were planted by our Leos and Lions. Also we were treated by foods and beverages. The project ended at 7.30 PM.
